CliniQR: Real-time insights from every scan

PROJECT

Clinisupplies – Dynamic QR platform for global patient journeys

BIG WINS

  • Engagement: Geo-codes routed customers instantly to the right site.

  • Insights: Real-time analytics gave visibility into scan trends and behaviours.

  • Control: Marketing teams were able to self-serve, no dev cycles needed.

  • Growth: Scalable, a secure platform ready for global expansion.

Clinisupplies is a UK-headquartered medical device company specialising in continence care products, serving both the NHS and private healthcare providers and expanding into international markets. Operating in a regulated, clinically focused environment, the organisation wanted its packaging and campaign QR codes to deliver consistent, patient-centred digital experiences while also generating reliable data for commercial decision-making.

Kanj Technologies was engaged to design and implement a single QR platform that could support this global growth, improve the end-user experience and give marketing teams the control and insight they needed without adding overhead for IT.

The challenge

Clinisupplies’ QR codes – on product packaging and in campaigns – all behaved in essentially the same way, regardless of where they were scanned. A patient in the UK, a clinician in Europe or a distributor in a new export market might all be sent to the same destination, or to content that was not yet localised or appropriate for that territory.

At the same time, the business lacked clear visibility into how QR codes were being used. It was difficult to answer basic questions: where scans were happening, which devices were most common, and whether specific campaigns were actually landing. Without this information, marketing teams struggled to refine spend, journeys and inventory planning.

The brief was to create a solution that would be seamless for customers, flexible for marketers and robust enough to support multi-country growth – all without fragmenting the QR estate or introducing unnecessary complexity.

The solution

Kanj Technologies designed and delivered CliniQR, a smart Dynamic QR platform that acts as a central hub for all Clinisupplies scans worldwide. Built on Laravel, the platform combines secure infrastructure with geo-intelligence and lightweight analytics.

Each QR scan is now evaluated and routed in real time. Geo-aware redirects send users to the correct local website where one exists, or to an appropriate default destination where it does not, removing the need for multiple codes per market and ensuring a relevant experience from the first interaction.

A first-party analytics engine (proprietary) sits behind this, capturing only genuine user activity and filtering out bots and duplicate scans. It records device type, browser, location and time, giving marketing teams a clean, trustworthy view of engagement without over-engineering the data layer.

An intuitive administration interface allows Clinisupplies’ teams to update redirect rules, launch new codes and monitor performance without developer involvement. The solution is deployed with secure HTTPS, caching and monitoring, and has been designed with clear hooks for future enhancements such as A/B testing, API integrations and downstream BI reporting. Together, these elements create a single, scalable QR entry point that is both customer-first and data-rich.

The results

The new platform has materially improved both commercial control and customer experience. Frictionless routing now sends customers to the right site and content at the first attempt, which in turn supports higher conversion and reduces abandonment caused by generic or inappropriate destinations. Real-time insight into scan geography, device mix and campaign performance enables more targeted marketing, sharper inventory planning and more confident allocation of spend.

Operationally, self-service management has reduced reliance on development teams and shortened the cycle from idea to live campaign. Marketing teams can act quickly within a governed framework, while IT retains confidence in the security and stability of the platform.

For patients, clinicians and partners, the result is a more relevant journey from physical product or collateral into digital content. For Clinisupplies, CliniQR provides a scalable foundation that can grow with new markets, product lines and data integrations – aligning day-to-day customer touchpoints with the organisation’s wider digital and growth strategy.
